Now on to the wedding! Helen got in touch abut her wedding at Hookhouse Farm, all the way from Australia as her other half, Ben, was from there. During this time most of our talking was done over email, but we were able to meet up a few days before the wedding (which wasn’t as stressful as it sounds!) Straight away I could see why these two were together, they spent most of their time laughing and telling me their plans for the day. Afterwards I couldn’t wait until their wedding a few days later, and as this would be my first wedding at Hookhouse as recommended photographer I was even more excited!

The day started at Leatherhead registry office, Helen pulled up in a black cab, decorated with the St George and Australian flags. After the ceremony we headed on over to the farm, situated in the beautiful fields and woodland of Outwood, Surrey, perfect for this nature loving couple. Helen had decorated the barn beautifully; my favourite was the hand written name tags, attached to little model animals. And instead of favours, H & B had decided to donate to charity by purchasing toys for orphaned orangoutangs, through OVAID , a wonderful cause.

After a couple of glasses of Pimms and mingling with their guests we had a little wander around to so I could shoot their bride and groom portraits. Then came the food, a gorgeous buffet by Sussex Chefduring this time, I took the opportunity to get some ring and flower shots. A little later H & B cut their cake and the speeches began and then dancing!
